LPU Design: What Is the Programme Like?
LPU offers design programmes across fashion, graphics, interior and furniture, product and industrial design, UI/UX, animation and VFX, gaming, multimedia and film/TV production. Most B.Des programmes are four years and eight semesters.
Design education rewards students who are willing to create, iterate and build a portfolio. LPU's large campus and broad design portfolio can be useful, but your portfolio quality, software skills, internships and ability to explain design decisions will matter greatly.

Why Your Design Portfolio Matters
For design careers, the portfolio can be more persuasive than a long list of certificates. Show the problem, research, iterations, sketches/wireframes, final output and your specific contribution.
Strong portfolio
- 6–10 carefully selected projects.
- Process, not only final images.
- Clear problem statement.
- Original work and measurable outcomes.
- Good presentation and case-study writing.
Weak portfolio
- Only copied inspiration.
- No process explanation.
- Too many unrelated projects.
- Poor presentation or missing context.
