About Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon
Management Development Institute Gurgaon is a management school located in Gurgaon, Haryana. For the 2027–29 admission cycle, MDI’s online application lists the two-year full-time PGDM, PGDM-HRM, PGDM-IB, PGDM-Business Analytics and PGDM-BFSI programmes. PGDM-BM is a separate executive postgraduate programme and should not be confused with the two-year full-time PGDM.
Which programme should you compare?
PGDM is the general-management route; PGDM-HRM is focused on human resource management; PGDM-IB is the international business route with a foreign-partner study component; PGDM-Business Analytics is designed around business problem-solving through analytics; and PGDM-BFSI is a sector-focused programme for banking and financial services.

MDI’s current application is for the 2027–29 batch. Indian applicants must use CAT 2026; GMAT is accepted as an alternative only for candidates applying exclusively to PGDM-IB, and the test must be taken at a GMAT test centre within the institute’s stated window.

Eligibility requirements
- At least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in both Class 10 and Class 12.
- At least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in a recognised bachelor’s degree. The minimum degree duration is three years for PGDM, PGDM-HRM, PGDM-Business Analytics and PGDM-BFSI.
- PGDM-IB requires a minimum four-year bachelor’s degree and at least one year of work experience as on 31 January 2027, acquired after completing that degree. A three-year bachelor’s degree does not meet the PGDM-IB eligibility rule.
- Final-year candidates may apply to the listed three-year-degree programmes if degree requirements are completed by 30 June 2027, with evidence due by 31 October 2027.

The published Stage I and Stage II weightage tables name PGDM, PGDM-HRM, PGDM-IB and PGDM-Business Analytics. MDI lists PGDM-BFSI separately in the 2027–29 application; students should follow the BFSI programme’s own admission instructions rather than assume these tables apply unchanged to it.

MDI does not publish a fixed numeric CAT percentile cutoff in the current admission notice. The 2024–26 placement report lists 96 percentile as the batch’s average CAT percentile; this is a batch-profile statistic, not a minimum cutoff, shortlist threshold or admission guarantee. MDI’s admissions FAQ also says that both aggregate CAT score and sectional cut-offs are considered. Use the 96 percentile only as a historical profile reference, not as an expected cutoff.

MDI’s current application form lists five two-year full-time programmes. The four 2024–26 placement-report cohorts are PGDM, PGDM-HRM, PGDM-Business Analytics (shown as PGDM-BN in the report) and PGDM-IB. PGDM-BFSI is a newer programme and is not represented in those three uploaded placement reports.

PGDM-BFSI: published 2026–28 fee reference
MDI’s published 2026–28 PGDM-BFS fee was ₹22,00,000 for two years. The component schedule included tuition ₹7,33,850 per year, learning material ₹62,000 per year, student activities ₹31,250 per year, library ₹37,700 per year, boarding ₹1,04,200 per year and lodging ₹1,09,750 per year, plus alumni fee ₹15,000 and refundable security deposit ₹27,500 in Year 1. The institute has not published the 2027–29 fee in the source checked for this page; do not assume ₹22 lakh remains unchanged.
What is covered and what may cost extra?
- For PGDM / PGDM-HRM / PGDM-Business Analytics, the published total includes tuition, boarding, lodging, learning material, student activities, library, alumni fee and the refundable security deposit.
- For PGDM-IB, the published fee includes the listed institute charges. MDI says students are not charged tuition by the allocated European partner institution if academic requirements are completed within one year.
- PGDM-IB students must separately budget for visa and visa-assistance charges, social-security contributions, travel, daily living, lodging and boarding in Europe, books/learning materials, and comprehensive health and personal insurance.
- The official schedules do not quantify every personal expense. Confirm any optional accommodation or personal charges directly with MDI before making a final budget.
The ₹27,500 security deposit is marked refundable by MDI. Fee schedules are subject to revision. Use the official offer letter / fee notice as the final payment authority.

What is the last date to apply for MDI Gurgaon 2027–29?
MDI’s online application deadline is 28 November 2026 at 5:00 PM IST. CAT 2026 registration closed on 15 September 2026, and the CAT exam is scheduled for 29 November 2026. The MDI application window is separate from CAT registration, so an applicant who has registered for CAT must still submit MDI’s application before its deadline.
What CAT percentile is required for MDI Gurgaon?
MDI has not published a fixed numeric CAT percentile cutoff in the current 2027–29 admission notice. Is the MDI PGDM-BFSI fee included in the ₹26.55 lakh fee?
No. The ₹26,55,310 schedule is published for PGDM, PGDM-HRM and PGDM-Business Analytics. MDI’s separate 2026–28 PGDM-BFS fee schedule listed a two-year total of ₹22 lakh, including boarding and lodging. That is a previous-batch fee reference; the 2027–29 PGDM-BFSI fee should be confirmed from MDI’s current fee notice.
What is the average package for MDI Gurgaon PGDM?
The official 2024–26 final placement report records ₹29.50 LPA average CTC and ₹29.00 LPA median CTC for PGDM. This is programme-specific and should not be substituted for the HRM, Business Analytics or IB outcome.
Does MDI Gurgaon publish separate placements for PGDM-HRM, PGDM-IB and Business Analytics?
Yes. The 2024–26 final placement report gives separate averages and medians: HRM ₹24.80/₹23.00 LPA, Business Analytics ₹26.20/₹25.70 LPA and IB ₹26.30/₹25.00 LPA.
