Who should choose the IPM?

IPM changes the timing of the management decision. Instead of completing a separate bachelor's degree and then deciding whether to pursue an MBA, you commit to an integrated management education immediately after Class 12.

Choose IPM if…

You are already confident that management is your preferred career direction and want early exposure to business, analytics and leadership.

Think twice if…

You are unsure about management or want maximum freedom to change your academic discipline during undergraduate study.

The key decision:

IPM is valuable because of continuity, but that same continuity reduces flexibility. Your confidence about management should therefore matter as much as the brand.

What is the IPM eligibility for 2026?

The official 2026-31 admission policy requires Class 12 qualification or appearance in the specified cycle with 60% or more, with 55% for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender candidates. Class 10 also requires 60%, or 55% for the specified reserved categories, and the Class 10 passing year must not be before 2023.

Requirement2026-31 policy
Class 1260%; 55% for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender.
Class 1060%; 55% for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender.
Class 10 passing yearNot before 2023.
Class 12 statusPassed in 2025 or appearing in 2026, subject to policy conditions.
IntakeAround 120, subject to reservation and seat provisions.

How does JIPMAT 2026 selection work?

Admission to the Indian 2026-31 route is through JIPMAT 2026, conducted by NTA on behalf of IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu. The policy states that JIPMAT performance is used for the merit list and that candidates must meet the specified category-wise sectional percentile threshold.

Preparation implication

Do not prepare only for an overall score. The policy includes sectional eligibility, so your preparation must protect performance across all test areas.

What should a JIPMAT aspirant practise?

  • Quantitative aptitude and speed-based arithmetic.
  • Logical reasoning and pattern recognition.
  • Verbal ability, reading comprehension and vocabulary.
  • Timed mocks with sectional analysis, not only total-score review.

How is the five-year academic journey structured?

The first three years follow a semester structure, while the final two years follow the prevailing MBA-style trimester structure. This lets students move from broad academic foundations into deeper management education.

StageWhat changesWhy it matters
Years 1–3Semester-based undergraduate stageBuilds quantitative, communication, analytical, social-science and management foundations.
After Year 2Rural & Social Immersion internshipConnects students with community and social-development contexts.
Year 3Bridge toward advanced management preparationCreates continuity into the MBA-style phase.
Years 4–5Trimester-based MBA-style learningMoves students into advanced management curriculum and career preparation.

What degree do you receive after IPM?

Students completing the full programme requirements are awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration by IIM Bodh Gaya. The programme also provides an exit option after the first three years, under which a BBA is awarded subject to the applicable academic requirements.

Why the exit option matters

It provides a formal undergraduate qualification if a student does not continue through the integrated five-year path. Verify the current academic and exit requirements before joining.

How much does IPM cost?

The 2026-31 IPM fee structure gives a clear number for the first three years and links Years 4–5 to the MBA fee applicable when the cohort reaches the MBA stage.

What can you do after IPM?

The integrated route can lead toward consulting, finance, marketing, operations, analytics, product and general management. The differentiator is continuity: career preparation starts earlier and the final two years follow the MBA structure.

Consulting & strategy

Build structured problem solving, communication and business analysis.

Finance & analytics

Build quantitative and financial capabilities before entering the advanced management phase.

Marketing & general management

Use broad management exposure for customer, sales, marketing and cross-functional roles.

Do not automatically apply the flagship MBA placement average to IPM. Use programme-specific audited outcomes for the relevant IPM graduating cohort when available.
