MUJ Placement Statistics: What the University Currently Publishes

MetricPublished figureMeaning for a student
Campus placement95%University-level headline; not a guarantee for an individual student.
Companies visited200Indicates recruiter breadth across the university.
Fortune 500 companies50Counts university visits, not offers to every programme.
Maximum compensation₹1.06 croreMaximum, not typical or median salary.
Average compensation₹9.0 lakhUniversity-level average; do not assign it to one programme without evidence.
Most important caveat

These are university-level headline statistics. ₹1.06 crore is not an expected package, and ₹9 lakh should not automatically be presented as the BCA, MCA, MBA or CSE-specific average.

Recruiter Mix: Technology, Consulting, Finance and Engineering

The official recruiter list includes Accenture, Adobe, Amazon, Bosch, BlackRock, Capgemini, Cisco, Deloitte, EY, Goldman Sachs, Google, IBM, Infosys, JP Morgan Chase, KPMG, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Oracle, PayPal, PwC, SAP, TCS, Wipro and Zscaler, among many others.

Sector signalExamples from official recruiter listWhat to check
Technology / softwareGoogle, Microsoft, TCS, Infosys, OracleWhether your programme is eligible for those roles.
Consulting / professional servicesDeloitte, EY, KPMG, PwCRole type, eligibility and hiring process.
FinanceBlackRock, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan ChaseProgramme-specific finance roles and selection criteria.
Engineering / industrialBosch, Siemens, L&T, Schneider ElectricBranch relevance and engineering role mix.

Recruiter presence is not the same as an offer. A useful placement page should therefore distinguish recruiter breadth from programme-level placement outcomes.

Internships: An Often-Ignored Part of Placement ROI

MUJ's official placement statistics page states that paid internships can offer monthly stipends ranging from ₹15,000 to ₹1,25,000. The range is broad, so it is evidence that paid opportunities exist rather than an expected stipend for every student.

For engineering students, project-based learning and industrial exposure matter because recruiters assess demonstrable technical work. For MBA students, internships should be judged by function—finance, marketing, analytics, consulting or operations—not only by stipend.

Placement Reading by Programme

B.Tech CSELook for software, product, cloud, cybersecurity, data and engineering roles. The CSE page displays alumni examples including Shell, Accenture, Siemens and Zscaler.
MBAFocus on role function and recruiter quality—finance, marketing, consulting, operations and analytics—rather than the university maximum.
BCA / MCALook for software, application, IT services and data roles. Programme pages show examples from Accenture, TCS, EY India, Vinove Software and CodefyLabs.
BBAEvaluate internship-to-job pathways and whether recruiters offer roles aligned with business, marketing, finance or analytics interests.

Placement ROI: Compare Salary Against the Full Education Cost

For a residential programme, ROI should include tuition plus hostel and living expenses. B.Tech CSE currently lists ₹4.87 lakh annual tuition, while the 2026–27 double-occupancy hostel total including refundable security is ₹2.08 lakh.

General MBA tuition is ₹5.10 lakh per year and MBA Business Analytics is ₹5.73 lakh. Scholarships can materially reduce net cost where the student actually qualifies.
