MUJ Admission 2026: Start With the Correct Route
Manipal University Jaipur does not use one universal admission test for every programme. B.Tech CSE and other engineering programmes have MET 2026 and listed merit-based pathways, while MBA uses national management aptitude tests and programme-specific selection. Other UG and PG courses have their own qualifying-exam criteria.
| Target | Main published route | Key eligibility |
|---|---|---|
| B.Tech CSE | MET 2026 or listed merit-based admission | 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, English + one optional subject; PMX minimum applies |
| MBA General | CAT / MAT / CMAT / XAT / GMAT | Graduation 50% |
| MBA Business Analytics | Career + interview | Graduation 50%; maths/technical/science background preferred |
| BCA | UG admission route | Check current programme-specific criteria |
| MCA | PG admission route | Check current programme-specific criteria |
B.Tech Admission 2026: MET vs Merit-Based Admission
For MET 2026, the official eligibility requires Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects plus one of the listed optional subjects such as Chemistry, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Biology, Statistics or Engineering Drawing. The combined score in Physics, Mathematics and the optional subject must be at least 50%.
MUJ also lists merit-based admission. For CSE, the page specifies either at least 70% aggregate in PMX subjects in Class XII, or SAT score of at least 75% / JEE Main score of at least 90 percentile together with at least 60% PMX, subject to the stated conditions. Admission remains subject to merit and seat availability.
A 70% PMX or 90 percentile JEE Main criterion is a stated eligibility route, not a guarantee of a particular branch. MUJ explicitly says branch allocation under merit admission is based on merit and availability.
MBA Admission 2026: Eligibility Is Only the First Filter
General MBA applicants need a bachelor's degree with at least 50% and a valid CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT or GMAT score. MUJ states that the merit list considers Class X, XII and graduation academics, entrance-test performance, personal interview, presentation and English comprehension.
MBA Business Analytics requires graduation with at least 50%; MUJ says mathematics at 10+2 and a background in engineering, science, computer applications or economics is preferred. Selection is based on career and interview with equal weightage.
Documents: What to Keep Ready Before the Application
Applicants should keep their qualifying examination marksheets, identity documents, photographs, entrance-test score details and programme-specific certificates ready. For MBA applicants still pursuing graduation, the published eligibility table requires proof of passing by October 31, 2026.
| Document / proof | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Class X & XII marksheets | Used for academic eligibility and, for MBA, part of the published merit evaluation. |
| Graduation marksheets / degree | Required for MBA and other PG eligibility verification. |
| Entrance scorecard | Needed where the programme uses CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, GMAT, JEE Main, SAT or MET. |
| Identity & photographs | Application and verification requirements. |
| Scholarship/category documents | Needed only when applying under the relevant published scheme. |
How MUJ Selection Works
| Programme | What MUJ says it evaluates | Student takeaway |
|---|---|---|
| B.Tech merit route | Qualifying marks / SAT / JEE route, merit and seat availability | Meeting a route threshold does not guarantee CSE branch allocation. |
| MBA | Academics, entrance score, PI, presentation and English comprehension | Prepare beyond the aptitude test. |
| MBA Business Analytics | Career and interview with equal weightage | Show quantitative readiness and a clear analytics career reason. |
The selection structure means students should prepare evidence of academic consistency, communication, motivation and programme fit rather than relying on one test score.
Admission Fee Checkpoints
| Programme | Published tuition/year | Registration | Caution |

| MBA Business Analytics | ₹5,73,000 | ₹10,000 | ₹15,000 refundable |
MUJ's central fee page says tuition, registration and caution amounts are subject to change and Fee Fixation Committee approval. Therefore, the amount shown on the current programme page should be checked again at the payment stage.
