The IIM Ahmedabad PGP 2026–28 admission cycle through CAT 2025 has concluded and the 2026–28 batch has commenced.

CAT 2025 Minimum Screening Cutoff

General / EWS 95 85 85 85
NC-OBC 90 80 80 80
SC 85 75 75 75
ST 75 65 65 65
PwD 85 75 75 75
Important: cutoff does not guarantee a call

These are minimum screening thresholds. Meeting the published CAT threshold does not automatically guarantee an interview call because IIMA uses additional profile and application-rating components.

Selection Process

IIMA's selection process includes shortlisting for the Analytical Writing Test and Personal Interview followed by final selection.

Final Selection Component Weight
Personal Interview 50%
Analytical Writing Test 10%
CAT Score 25%
Application Rating 15%

Application Rating

The Application Rating incorporates components related to academic performance, work experience and diversity-related profile factors as specified by IIMA.

What Students Should Understand

A high CAT percentile is important, but the published selection methodology makes it clear that admission is not determined by CAT score alone. Academic history, application rating and interview performance matter.

Strong Fit

  • Strong academic record
  • Excellent CAT preparation
  • Clear career objective

Our Assessment

Best suited for: Aspirants with strong academics, excellent CAT preparation, a credible career objective and the ability to perform well in interviews.

Not necessarily ideal for: Candidates primarily motivated by brand value who have not considered the programme's academic intensity, opportunity cost or career objective.
