How to Read BBAU Placement Data
“BBAU highest package” is a popular search, but the highest salary is a weak standalone measure because one outlier does not describe the typical outcome. Official NIRF disclosures provide three more useful pieces of information: how many students graduated, how many were placed and the median salary among the reported placed cohort.
Median is especially useful because half of the reported placed salaries are above it and half below it. Even median data must be read by programme/category: an MBA management median should not be copied into a B.Tech or MCA article.
BBAU MBA / Management Placement Trend
| Graduating year | Graduates | Placed | Placement share | Median salary |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2022-23 | 76 | 70 | 92.1% | ₹10.40 LPA |
| 2023-24 | 76 | 72 | 94.7% | ₹12.78 LPA |
| 2024-25 | 76 | 74 | 97.4% | ₹15.135 LPA |
The reported management cohort shows a clear three-year improvement in both placed students and median salary. The median rose from ₹10.40 lakh to ₹15.135 lakh across the reported period. This is evidence of a positive trend, not a promise that every incoming MBA student will earn ₹15.135 LPA.
UG 3-Year Placement Trend
| Graduating year | Graduates | Placed | Placement share | Median salary |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2021-22 | 180 | 103 | 57.2% | ₹5.94 LPA |
| 2022-23 | 180 | 135 | 75.0% | ₹9.846 LPA |
| 2023-24 | 180 | 151 | 83.9% | ₹11.851 LPA |
The reported three-year UG cohort also shows an upward movement in placed students and median salary. However, the cohort can include multiple undergraduate disciplines, so this should not be presented as a BBA, B.Com or any single-course salary.
UG 4-Year Placement Context
The official NIRF 2026 overall submission reports 4-year UG outcomes of 135 placed students at a ₹9.846 lakh median in 2022-23, 151 at ₹11.851 lakh in 2023-24 and 160 at ₹12.735 lakh in 2024-25. These figures provide useful university-level context for four-year programmes, including engineering, but they are not a branch-specific B.Tech salary table.
PG 2-Year Placement Context
The overall NIRF 2026 submission reports 1,294 PG two-year students placed at a ₹7.215 lakh median in 2022-23, 1,302 at ₹9.524 lakh in 2023-24 and 1,337 at ₹10.523 lakh in 2024-25. This broad category covers multiple postgraduate disciplines, so it should not be used as an MCA- or MBA-specific placement number.
Use the separate management NIRF disclosure where available. It reports the much more specific 2024-25 management median of ₹15.135 lakh for 74 placed students.
What BBAU Placement Data Means for Different Students
| Course | What you should ask before joining |
|---|---|
| MBA | Specialisation-wise roles, recruiter mix, internship conversion and management cohort outcomes. |
| B.Tech | Branch-wise recruiters, software/core role split, placement participation and internship opportunities. |
| MCA | IT/software recruiters, coding expectations, project quality, internships and programme-specific outcomes. |
| BBA/B.Com | Entry-level role types, higher-study progression and how many students pursue MBA/professional qualifications. |
A student should also ask whether “placed” means the student accepted an offer, whether multiple offers are counted, and how many students chose higher studies. These questions help put the headline placement percentage into context.
