Hostel Rules and Student Safety
TIET lists 24×7 security, CCTV, manned gates and identity/security systems. Its parent information also mentions biometric night attendance and RFID-enabled identity cards. Hostel-specific rules can vary, so students should read the current reporting and allotment instructions.
Thapar Hostel Cost
Hostel charges depend on accommodation type and the applicable academic-year fee schedule. Because room categories differ, students should not assume one hostel fee applies to every resident.
See the overall fee guide →Student Discussion: What Matters in Hostel Life?
Students usually care about room occupancy, AC/non-AC choice, food quality, internet reliability, distance from academic blocks, study environment, laundry and hostel rules. These practical factors can materially affect the experience.
