How Does SRMIST B.Tech Admission Work?
For regular B.Tech admission, SRMIST states a minimum 60% aggregate in the specified Class 12 subjects, with Physics and Mathematics mandatory and one prescribed third subject. The published age condition is 16 years 6 months on 31 July of the calendar year in which the Class 12 examination is held.
SRMJEEE (UG) is the principal engineering entrance route. In 2026, SRMIST published three application phases. After the exam, counselling is important because programme and campus choice is tied to rank and available seats.

What Is the SRMIST B.Tech Cutoff?

How Does SRMIST MBA Admission Work?
SRMIST lists a minimum 50% aggregate in a bachelor's degree for its MBA portfolio. The standard route is SRM Joint Entrance Examination for Management (SRMJEEM) followed by Personal Interview.
Eligible CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, NMAT, CMAT and TANCET scores receive direct consideration for the Personal Interview according to SRMIST's management admission information. Preference is given to candidates with work experience.

What Are SRMIST Placements Like?
The official 2023 university-level placement communication reported 1,311 companies, 13,069 offers, 3,970 high-paying offers, maximum salary of ₹1 crore per annum and average salary of ₹10.5 LPA.
For engineering, NIRF 2026 reports 4,144 placements among 4,408 four-year UG graduates in minimum stipulated time in 2024-25, with median salary ₹6.32 lakh. These figures have different scopes and must not be merged into one average-package claim.
Which Scholarships Are Available?
SRMIST's scholarship policy includes the Founder's Scholarship and SRM Merit Scholarship. B.Tech scholarship categories include specified SRMJEEE and JEE Main rank bands and other achievement categories. Renewal conditions apply.
JEE Main appearing in the scholarship policy does not make it the principal regular B.Tech admission route. For regular B.Tech admission, SRMJEEE remains the main route.
