The Department of Management Studies (DMS) at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, traces its origins to the Centre for Management Studies established in 2003. It is now part of the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), established in 2022. JMI MBA Syllabus and Specialisations

The MBA curriculum builds a foundation in management concepts, quantitative methods, economics, accounting, organisational behaviour, human resource management, marketing, finance, information systems, analytics, operations and business research. Later semesters include strategic management, corporate analysis, business law, summer training and a dissertation/project, as set out in the department's published programme material.

JMI Department of Management Studies: 2026–27 MBA Seats, Fees and Entrance Dates

The 2026–27 JMI prospectus lists four distinct DMS MBA routes. Compare the programme row carefully: regular MBA, MBA International Business, MBA Innovation & Entrepreneurship and MBA Executive do not share the same fee or seat count.

Entrance schedule benchmark: the 2026–27 entrance test for MBA, MBA (IB) and MBA (Innovation & Entrepreneurship) was scheduled for 2 June 2026, 2:30–5:30 PM, multi-city. MBA Executive was scheduled for 6 May 2026, 2–5 PM. The next cycle's dates are not confirmed until JMI publishes its 2027–28 schedule.

Eligibility for MBA / MBA (IB) / MBA (Innovation & Entrepreneurship): bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate or equivalent grade. MBA Executive additionally requires at least three years of professional experience after the qualifying degree, as specified in the prospectus.
