The most useful comparison is not simply “IIT vs non-IIT”. Applicants should evaluate the specific BTech branch, curriculum, placement profile, research opportunities and their own interest in the subject.
- Do not select a branch only from the highest package headline.
- Check department-level placement trends.
- Consider mining, energy and earth-science strengths if those sectors interest you.
- Look at internships and higher-study options as well.
